This wonderfully interesting houseplant is really stunning with its dark, forest green and white flecked variegation - we really love it! This Dieffenbachia is also known as the Dumb Cane plant- for a fascinating reason! This houseplant produces a poison in its leaves that can temporarily numb the vocal cords if it’s eaten - hence the name Dumb Cane!  Don’t feel intimidated - just don’t eat it! Certainly a good bit of trivia for a dinner party though!
It’s an absolutely gorgeously stylish houseplant - and it brings to your home the style of a similar plant such as variegated Monstera while being a little easier to care for - it doesn’t require such constant humidity. As usual with tropical plants, water only when the top couple of inches of the soil is dry, don’t let it sit in water.

You can feed once a month during spring and summer - we do vegan, organic plant food!

No, unfortunately, it can be toxic to pets.
