The Thai Constellation is a cultivar of Monstera deliciosa, originally developed from tissue culture. Unlike other variegated Monsteras, this one grows reliably with stable variegation, and its creamy patterns are especially dramatic on mature leaves. Like all Monsteras, it’s a natural epiphyte from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America – which means it loves to climb and will reward you with ever-larger leaves as it grows.

The iconic holes and splits in the leaves (called fenestrations) aren’t just beautiful – they’re a clever adaptation from nature that helps the plant thrive in the wild. In your home, they bring serious jungle vibes and loads of visual interest.

Plant care level:

The Thai Constellation is fine for beginners with a bit of confidence – it just needs a little extra care. The variegated areas don’t absorb light as well as the green parts, so it’s important to give it bright, indirect light.

Where should I put this plant?

This plant loves a spot with bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid harsh midday sun, but don’t tuck it away in the dark – it thrives in light! Keep it in a warm, humid room if you can.

How much water does it need?

• Water once a week during warmer months

• Let the top layer of soil dry before watering again

• Water less in winter

• Mist often – this tropical beauty loves humidity!

What about feeding?

Feed monthly in spring and summer with a liquid fertiliser. We recommend our vegan, organic plant food for happy, healthy leaves.

Is it suitable if I have pets?

🐾 Sadly not – like most Monsteras, it’s toxic to pets if ingested.
